 Tamanna Akram brings in a strong background in experiential learning and project management. Originally from Dhaka, Bangladesh, she holds a BA in Government and Theatre Arts from Lawrence University and an MA in International Public Affairs from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. During her graduate studies, Tamanna was involved in a longitudinal study examining college-to-workforce transitions, focusing on how both pre- and post-pandemic environments influenced student experiences, particularly with internships . With a solid academic and professional foundation in development, fundraising, advocacy, and non-profit work, Tamanna brings a wealth of expertise to her teaching. Her extensive international field research experience spans Bangladesh, China, Sierra Leone, and Jamaica, focusing on development, women's empowerment, and sustainability. Tamanna’s diverse global perspective and practical insights enrich her approach to teaching and inspire students to engage with real-world challenges.
