The Chicago Center Announces Key Board Leadership Changes to Support Strategic Growth

CHICAGO - At its August meeting, the Chicago Center for Urban Life and Culture’s Board of Directors announced several key leadership updates. Kevin Hough, FA’99, was re-elected as Board Chair, and Patti Doyle was re-elected as Treasurer, both for another two-year terms. The Board also welcomed Dr. Jeff Meece and Brady Tilghman as the new Vice Chair and Secretary, respectively.

“I am confident that the diverse expertise and deep commitment of our newly elected board officers will significantly enhance our ability to fulfill our mission,” said Board Chair Kevin Hough, Fall’99. “We are excited to see the fresh perspectives and energy that Jeff and Brady will bring to our work, advancing our efforts to promote equity and justice through education. I am also deeply grateful to Patti for her unwavering dedication to the Chicago Center and her continued leadership as Treasurer.”

Dr. Jeff Meece, who joined the Board of Directors in 2022, has played a significant role in the Finance and Governance Committees. With more than 25 years of experience in technology and higher education, Meece is a seasoned sales and enrollment management executive. He has been instrumental in advising the Chicago Center’s enrollment strategies. Meece currently directs strategic partnerships at Mongoose Research and has served on various boards, including United Way and Rotary. Jeff succeeds Elissa Clark, who previously served as Vice Chair.

Brady Tilghman, an educator and attorney, currently serves as an Assistant Attorney General at the Illinois Attorney General’s Office. Since joining the Board of Directors in 2023, Tilghman has been pivotal in securing legal resources to support the Chicago Center’s strategic initiatives. Brady succeeds Tiff Beatty, J'07.
