Dear members of the Chicago Center and Philadelphia Center community,
Last month, I shared with the Board of Directors that I will be stepping down from my role as my family and I prepare to relocate to Houston, TX.
When I joined in 2021, I was singularly focused on ensuring the Chicago Center’s survival, which quickly grew into a reignited vision for a better, more inclusive society. That initial hope evolved into a daydream, then an adventure, restoring belief in the transformative magic that has defined the Chicago Center’s educational experience for over half a century.
As I reflect on my nearly four years in this role, I am incredibly proud of what we have accomplished together—so much has been beyond my wildest dreams. Together, we’ve witnessed student successes, staff growth, and countless milestones—from memorable student stories to transformative projects and process improvements. It has been a true gift to meet with you, work with you, and get to know you, our curious students, committed faculty and staff, inspiring alumni, and passionate partners.
With strong leadership across both locations, our momentum in college partnerships and enrollment continues to grow, and strong financial position, I’m confident that our organization is in a position of strength right now. While this is undoubtedly a bittersweet moment, I am filled with excitement for the future of both the Chicago and Philadelphia Centers. TPC Director Greg H. Goldman, MS, has accepted the Interim Executive Director and I have full confidence in Greg’s ability to lead the organization going forward.
I remain steadfast in my belief that the Chicago Center is on the rise and is earning the respect it has long deserved. Thank you again for the opportunity to be a part of such an extraordinary organization.
Tyler
